Through a critical reflection of the past, creative approaches to the present, and a look towards the future, Nostrum seeks to elevate and amplify the unheard voices, stories, and hopes of trainees. Our vision is to build community among learners who are striving for radical and equitable healing by deconstructing and reimagining how we care for one another.
Launched by a group of students at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, Nostrum seeks to create a community space for anyone who self-identifies as a trainee or learner in a health professions field (broadly speaking). We believe that, in a critical moment for health care, we need to center the voices of the future of our field and give license to each other to think creatively about care.
